APPLIANCE CLEANING TIPS
In a cold oven, place a glass dish with half a cup of full-strength ammonia. Close the oven and let it stand overnight. The next day the grime on the oven walls should be loosened sufficiently to be easily wiped away with a damp sponge. Also we suggests pouring the leftover ammonia into a garbage bag with the oven racks, tying it up and letting it sit overnight in the bag outside overnight, not inside the home. The oven racks will be similarly wipeable. Remember NEVER mix ammonia with bleach!
Take about 1/4 cup of ammonia and seal it up with one of the burner grates and or caps in a large ziploc bag. You only need a little ammonia in the bag. You are not trying to soak the burner… you just want to seal it up with the ammonia fumes. The overnight soak should be enough to make cleanup as easy as wiping off the surface with a sponge. Remember never mix ammonia and bleach!
Mildew can be caused by a build up of detergents and fabric softeners – this can be exasperated by front loading washers because moisture accumulates at both the inside surface of the door and the interior. Just put a cap full of a product called (smelly washer) in and run the machine empty and then add a teaspoon of it to a regular load. In just three washes the smell should be gone.
Start by running your faucet until hot then fill your dishwasher soap cup with your dishwasher cleaner next run your dishwasher empty on the high temp wash cycle.
